Obituary of Christy Michelle Prater-Bouldin

Spencer, TN-Christy Michelle Prater Bouldin, age 54, passed from this life Friday July 21, 2023 at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville from an extended illness.  Christy was born on November 2, 1968 to Johnny Franklin Prater and the late Virginia Banks Prater.  Christy was a big fan of basketball, especially Kentucky basketball and was a member of Mount Vernon Church of Christ.

Christy is survived by her loving family, daughter; Sheridan Bouldin of Spencer, son; Cody Bouldin of Spencer, father; Johnny Franklin (Carol) Prater of Brockdell, sisters; Melissa Seibers and Jennifer (Dale) Bouldin both of Spencer, stepsister; Donna Basham of McMinnville, stepbrother; Michael (Melanie) Crothers of McMinnville, grandchildren; Haverley Bouldin and Brayden Bouldin, nephews; B.J. Delong and Wyatt (Jordyn) Bouldin. Niece; Shelby (Brady) Roberts, great-nieces; Morgan and Ruby Jane, great-nephew; Brantley, very special friends; James Sullivan Jr. and Deborah Wilson.  A large extended family also survives.

Funeral Services will be held Monday July 24, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Darrell Nance officiating.  Burial will follow in Hitchcox Cemetery.  Visitation times are Sunday 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday 10:00am till time of service at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hitchcox Cemetery upkeep fund.
