Words alone cannot even begin to express how deeply saddened I am to hear of Christy passing. I haven't seen or talked to her in long time but I hope in some small way she knows I thought of her often and missed her. May God comfort your family during this difficult time. In 1996 I met Christy for the first time. From that time until her death we were friends (more like family). Christy like all of us in life had faults but never, ever would she turn her back on anyone. She was one of those persons that you are so lucky to have had in your life. One phone call or text and she'd be right there to help in any way she could. When my dad passed (I was in Charleston,SC) I called her and told her Wayne was trying to pack to come down to Charleston, her immediate reply is "I am on my way to help him and I will be driving him to Charleston, don't you worry"! She closed her shop, helped him pack, drove him to Charleston and stayed until after the service and drove him back to Spencer. She never hesitated or ask for anything in return. That's the Christy my family and I knew and loved. During COVID we couldn't see each other but she and I never lost contact. Like so many have said "she will be missed" but I know we will see each other again. Rest in peace, my dear friend. No more pain, no more sorrow, home at last with our Lord and Savior.
