I am touched with deep grief. Bobby was next to my son Jp when he was shot in Afghanistan. I spoke with Bobby not to long ago. He shared with me the tatoo he got on his arm to help him with the pain of Jp's death. And was so respectful of me to ask my permission. I know he has had a difficult time dealing with his death. If I can do anything or an ear to listen, please contact me.

Bobby.....I cannot believe that I am sitting here writing this....for you of all people!!! When I saw you for the first time, in person, I could feel in my bones that there was something extraordinarily special about you. Maybe it was your smile, your aura, your energy, your inner beauty, your awesome hug? Maybe it was just you...the total package!! I felt like I knew you forever. Each and every time I saw you my feelings were always the same. I just knew you were an incredible young man! You have been taken away from everyone that loved and adored you way to soon. I do know that my heart is broken and you've taken a piece of it with you. Why you? It's unimaginable. When I heard the news, I said not Bobby....... no not him!
Whenever Randy spoke of you, her eyes always lit up like fireworks. Her heart was so full of love for you....for the man you had become....the husband to Shellie, the father to beautiful Tucker, the brother to David and to her own children Alec and Michael and especially to the son that you are to both her and Mike. I pray that you knew how much you meant to the Gorlano Family, how they were wholeheartedly so very proud of you, how far you had come and what you stood for. You needed them at a very tender age and they were there to support you, to lift you up, to help you grow. They saw in you the true Bobby, the Bobby that was in your heart and soul, the Bobby that was and always will be in their hearts and souls. You are their hero! You proved it, not only to yourself and our country, but most importantly to them and that will never be taken for granted or forgotten. I don't know how the Gorlano Family is ever going to be the same without you in their lives.
Thank you for serving our country, for believing in what you believed in, for being there for your fellow brothers, for all the sacrificies that you made for all of us. I was so proud and honored to see you in your dress uniform, to be a part of surprising Alec at school and to see all of your metals that you rightfully deserved.
My sincere condolences to your entire family and all of your friends. May they soon find peace and comfort for you are in a better place. Fly high with the angels sweet man and rest easy.....until we meet again. I love you Bobby! You will truly be missed.

My Dearest, Randy and Mike Gorlano
I was so shocked and saddened to learn of your son's death. You have my very deep and sincere sympathy on your loss.
I know Bobby for a short time but by all accounts he was an outstanding young man, plus an AWESOME brother to Michael and Alec. I know how very proud you were of him, as you rightfully should be. I have never heard a disparaging word spoken about him. I know that he was loved by many and highly respected as well.
I know this is a very difficult time for you.
Your son Bobby was a true hero and his country is grateful for the great sacrifice he made to protect our freedoms. He was a true patriot in every respect.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
In Sympathy,
Gina and Joe DeVito
