Obituary of Sandra Gay Layne

Spencer – Mrs. Sandra Gay Rigsby Layne, 62, passed away Suddenly Friday February 16, 2018 at the Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born in Spencer, Tennessee on December 7, 1955.

 

She was of the Messianic Faith and was retired from Dunn Steel. She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved gardening, cooking and caring for her family.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dortha Lee Brock Rigsby; brother, Rick Rigsby.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Melody Brook Hopkins; son, Lance Wade Layne father, George Lee Rigsby; sisters, Shirley (Ray) Madewell and Gwen Rigsby; brothers, Jerry Rigsby and Michael (Beverly) Rigsby; grandchildren, Jaden Hopkins and Jasmine Bouldin; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rigsby Prater; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the Layne Funeral Home chapel with her brothers Jerry and Mike Rigsby officiating with burial to follow in the Brick House Cemetery at Campaign.
