Obituary of Charles Edward Green

SPENCER -  Charles Edward Green, 70, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home after an extended illness. He has resided in Spencer most of his life. He was a member of Spencer Church of God and a retired factory worker.  He was born on February 26, 1947 in Grundy County to Charlie Ray Green and Alma Gertrude King Green who preceded him in death along with his sister, Faye Green Dukes. 

He is survived by his wife, Carol Yvonne Bouldin Green; daughters, Angie (Harvey) May, Tina (Tommy) Turner and Crystal Green all of Spencer; brother, Bobby Green of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Joyce Armstrong of Doyle, TN and Elsie Hall of Bon Aire, TN; grandchildren, Joseph (Jessica), T.J. (Kayla) and Kimberly Turner, Allan Ray, Tim (Kayla) Kilgore and Katelain Kilgore.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Spencer Church of God with Bro. Jason Graham officiating with burial to follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018; 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Layne Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will also receive visitors the day of services from 10:00 AM til time of service at the Spencer Church of God.
