Spencer, TN     Funeral services for Mr. W.C. Davis, age 87 of Spencer, will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at 1 PM at the Layne Funeral Home in Spencer with Mr. Gene Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Town Cemetery. Visitation with the Davis family will be on Wednesday, November 8 from 4 – 9 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Davis passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, November 7 at NHC in McMinnville.

W.C. was born on June 8, 1930, to the late William Carroll and Lola Haston Davis in VanBuren County. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Myers, and six siblings, Robert, Ray, Ernest, and Lorene Davis, Willene Haston, and an infant sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Alma Denton Davis; son, Eugene (Linda) Davis; grandchildren, Shana Smith, Teresa (Shawn) Roberts, and Avery (Gina) Myers; great grandchildren, Jenna Smith, Bradi (Shelby) and Drew Roberts, Madison, Tatum, and Will Myers; great-great grandchild, Brantley; and special family member, Polia Davis.
