Obituary of Kate Banker

Spencer – Ms. Kate Banker, 86, passed from this life, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her home in Spencer. Kate was born in Spencer, Tennessee on May 13, 1931 to Aaron and Della Hale Banker who preceded her in death along with her sister, Lela Sullivan; brother, John Banker.

Kate is survived by her daughter, Wilma (Tommy)  Potter, Spencer; sons, Billy (Betty) Banker, Spencer, Bobby (Leecoe) Banker, Baxter, TN; James (Ann) Banker, Spencer; sisters, Rose Banker, Spencer, Wavey Banker, Cleveland, OH; Hallie Ruth Bailey, Mentor, OH; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson, Lynn Potter officiating with burial to follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Spencer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
