Obituary of Fred A. Fults

Altamont- Fred A. Fults, Sr., 74, died Thursday, September 16, 2010. He was a member, Deacon and Song Leader at the Church of Christ at Altamont. He was retired from the State of Tennessee Forestry Division. He was a avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a guitarist with the Old and New Bluegrass Express Band. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Pearl Fults; sisters, Bertha Hobbs, Wilda Brown and Ethelene Fults; brother, Carl Fults. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Carlyon Bates Fults; daughter, Brenda (Steve) Anderson; sons, Fred A. (Melissa) Fults, Jr. and Robert Edward (Felicia) Fults; sisters, Sue Nunley and Nancy Northcutt; brothers, Vernon (Brenda), Johnny (the late), Howard (Judy), Harvey (Kay), Donnie (Brenda) and Roy Dale (Lisa) Fults; grandchildren, Amanda, Jared, Jacob, Sonia, Robbie and Randy. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Joe Gray and Phillip Fults officiating with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday and after 10:00 AM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home; Altamont, TN.
