Obituary of John W. Bouldin

Gruetli-Laager - John W. Bouldin, 89, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at his home. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Gruetli and owner of Bouldin Poultry Supply and Bouldin Lumber Company. In His early years he worked on the Topeka and Santa Fe Rail Road. He was born in Gruetli on September 19, 1920 to Leander and Anna Schild Bouldin who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Mildred Goodman and Barbara Ann Plympton; brothers, Glen, Walter, Wade, Martin and Charles Bouldin. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Crabtree Bouldin;great-nephew, Colton Myers; brothers, Ralph and James (Jane) Bouldin; sister, Sara Lou Grooms; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Randy Bouldin and Duane Hill officiating with burial to follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Dale, Kelly, Larry, Mike and Nathan Myers, Eddie Crabtree, Kenneth Brewer, Wayne Jones and Gary Bouldin. Mrs. Bouldin would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga, Dr. McCallie and Dr. Mutter for their care. Visitation 5:00 PM til 8:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
