Obituary of Charles Howard Stockwell

Dunlap - Charles Howard Stockwell, 90, of the Cagle Community, passed away Sunday, August 08, 2010. He was born in Rensselaer, IN on March 28, 1920 to John and Minnie McGovern Stockwell who preceded him in death along with his wife, Corine King Stockwell; grandson, Timothy Dwaine Stockwell; sisters, Pearl Savage and Virginia Dillon; brothers, Clarence and Robert Byron Stockwell. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and attended Faith Missionary Church. He is survived by his daughter, Wilma (gary) Dunham, Pikeville; sons, Alvin (Doris), David (Linda) and Charlie (Frances) Stockwell all of Cagle; sister, Jean Hindman, Florence, AL; brother, John Stockwell, Jr., Garden City, MI; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Stacy Smith and Freddie Savage officiating with burial to follow in the Stockwell Cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation: 4:00 PM til 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
