Obituary of Frances Kirkman

Aiken, SC - Mrs. Frances Sanders Kirkman, 85, formerly of Arcadia, Florida and a native of Grundy County, Tennessee passed away peacefully Saturday July 3, 2010 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Sanders and Mattie Schoenmann Sanders Gunn; husband of 48 years, James Edward Kirkman; sister, Jewell Butler; brother, Willard Sanders. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Darren Petruschke of Aiken, SC; sister, Edythe Spitler of California; many nieces and nephews A memorial service will be held Saturday July 24, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel at Palmer. She will be interred at a later time beside her husband, James Edward Kirkman, in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Her passion and cause in life was the care of the adult retarded. It was her wish that In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made in her name to the Association of Retarded Citizens in Arcadia, FL.
