Gruetli-Laager - James Ray Kelley, 91, died Thursday, May 27, 2010. He was a member of the Gruetli Church of God and a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was born in Athens, TN on May 25, 1919 to Ernest and Maude Newman Kelley who preceded him in death along with his grandmother, Lou Emma Newman; first wife, Mildred Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Edith Kelley; daughter, Sharon (Don) Lynch; sons, Dennis (Judy) and Kenneth (Dorothy) Kelley; sister, Margaret E. Russell McHoney; 5 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM CDT Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Willard Griffin officiating with burial to follow on 12:00 Noon EDT Saturday at the Lakewood Memory Gardens South, Rossville, GA. Visitation 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
