Ruth Odell Morrison Tate, 90, of Madison, OH died Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Madison. She was born in Palmer on June 14, 1919 to Ben and Rene Layne Morrison who preceded her in death along with her husband, James Haskel Tate; sister, Leona Keener; brothers, Jack and Woodson Morrison; half-sister, Carolyn Morrison; half-brothers, Luther, Elbert "Shogs", Lamar, Jerry and Herman Morrison. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Tate, Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Judy (Royce) King, Madison, OH; sister, Dorothy Garner, Palmer, TN; half-sister, Robbie Datsko, Texas; half-brothers, Elmer Lee and Johnny Taylor Morrison, Texas; grandchildren, Chris and Rhonda King, Jamie (Kate) Tate; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel King. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Friday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Billy Joe Keener officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 PM till 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home; Palmer, TN.
