PALMER - Velma Louise White Cannon 93, died Friday, February 19, 2010. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Myrtle Tate White; husband, Scott Cannon; brothers, James, Paul, Grady and Roy White; sisters, Edna Burnett, Hallie Jean Lankford, Oleana White and Reva Jo McPherson Henry. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Louise (Bob) Stinnett of Palmer and Faye E. "Perkie" (Bob) Green of Stark, FL; sister, Mary Lillian Henderson of Chattanooga; 6 grandchildren, Beth, Stephanie, Kay, Bobby, Jim and Richard; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday in the funral home chapel with Ministers Ray Winton and Riley Anderson officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer City Cemetery. Visitation after 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
