Beersheba Springs - James Alfred Smartt, 62, died Saturday, February 06, 2010. He was born January 02, 1948. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Smartt; brother, Paul David Smartt; companion, Judy Richardson. He is survived by his mother, Annie Richardson Smartt; sister, Reba Sweeton; nephews, Jeff (Rita), Avery and Tinker Sweeton, David Smartt, Ryan Sweeton and Jesse Davis and Chad Russell; nieces, Lucy (Lynn) Scott and Jacqueline (Billy) Fults, Donna Smartt; several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Monday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Alton Scruggs and Don Hill officiating with burial to follow in the Walker Cemetery. Visitation after 2:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN.
