Palmer - Jimmy James Layne, 73, died Friday January 22, 2010. He was the janitor at Palmer School for many years and was preceded in death by his parents, John. W. and Etta Slatton Layne; brother, George Layne. He is survived by his sisters, Christine Vaughn, Whitwell, TN and Lorene Frydrychowski, Ashland, OH; brother, John Thomas "Peanut" Layne; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 24, 2010 with Minister John O'Neal officiating with burial to follow in the White Cemetery.
