Obituary of Scott Allen Teeters

Mr. Scott Allen Teeters, age 53, passed from this life on Tuesday July 25, 2023 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Sweetwater, TN. Scott was a Van Buren County native born on January 2, 1970 to the late Alton Teeters and Bessie Rogers Teeters Blackwell who survives.  He was a proud member of the Local 454 Boilermakers Union, Labor Board of Chattanooga and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his father Alton, Scott was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Parker and Alice Teeters, maternal grandparents; J.D. and Gladys Rogers, aunts: Gloria Rogers and Patricia Hopkins.  Many family members and friends have also passed.

Scott is survived by his loving family, wife; Lana Todd Teeters, son; Aiden (Charity, Antonio, and Angelica), stepchildren; Sam, Allison, Sparrow and Michael, mother; Bessie Blackwell, aunt; Nannette Moody, cousins; Carrie (Jerry) Thompson, Katie Rogers, Kendall (Polly) Rogers, special friends; Allan Bates, Kenny Payne and many other cousins, friends, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 31, 2023 at 11:00am in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Darrell Nance officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery.  Visitation times are Sunday 2:00pm to 9:00pm and Monday 9:00am till time of service at 11:00am. All times are central time.
