Obituary of Landon C. Hale Jr.

Spencer, TN-Mr. Landon C. Hale Jr., age 79, passed away Sunday June 11, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center from an extended illness.  A Van Buren County native who resided in the Piney Community was born on January 15, 1944 to the late Landon C. and Roshie Pack Hale.  Landon served in the U. S. Army, was a 1962 graduate of Van Buren County High School and was a member of Bellevue Community Church. Landon was an avid golfer, coon hunter and enjoyed being with his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, grandchild; Makayla Hale, brother; Glenn Hale, sisters; Dorothy Medley, Willie Simmons, Inez Hodges and Irene Hale.

Landon is survived by his loving family, wife; Kathy Howard Hale of Piney, sons: Jason (Tanya) Hale of Piney, Landon Wyatt & Family of Crossville, daughter; Angela (Barry) Butcher of McMinnville, sisters; Gail Anderson and Shella Forsythe, grandchildren; Tyler Butcher and Garrett Hale, great-grandchild; Garrett Reed Hale. Several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 11:00am in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Darrell Nance officiating.  Burial will follow in the Seitz Cemetery.  Visitation times are Tuesday 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Wednesday 9:00am till time of service at 11:00am.
