Obituary of Joseph Brymer

Spencer, TN-Mr. Joseph Brymer, age 84, passed from this life Thursday June 8, 2023 at his home on Hill Road surrounded by his loving family.  Joe was born on February 13, 1939 to the late Carl and Cleo Simmons Brymer.  Joe attended the Church of God of Prophecy, was an avid fisherman and squirrel hunter.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife; Ivanell Madewell Brymer, brothers; Houston, George and Willard Brymer.

Joe is survived by his loving family, daughter; Latisha (Jonathan) Simmons of Spencer, wife; Bessie Bowman Brymer of Cagle, brothers; Buster (Dorothy) Brymer and Larry (Lisa) Brymer of Cagle, James (Debbie) Brymer, Edward Brymer, Carl Brymer and Dwight Brymer all of Doyle, sisters; Beatrice Mitchell of Doyle and Margaret (Harold) Scott of Spencer, grandson; Cody Allen Simmons, brother-in-laws; Billy Joe (Nancy) Madewell, Bobby Simmons, sister-in-law; Brenda Madewell. Several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family also survivie.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 11, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Buster Brymer and Jeremiah Manus officiating.  Burial will follow in the Old Sodom Cemetery.  Visitation times are Saturday 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Sunday 10:00am till time of service at 2:00pm.
