Obituary of Deborah Ann McPeters

Spencer, TN- Deborah Ann McPeters, age 72 passed away on Monday June 5, 2023, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga from an extended illness. She was born on March 4, 1951, in Missouri to the late Dayton and Gladys Oakes. Deborah was a flight attendant for Northwest/Delta airlines for 15 years as well as having a career in Nursing. She also had a passion for raising registered Appaloosa Horses. Deborah was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spencer.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband Roland McPeters, sons; Gregg McPeters, Steve McPeters, daughters; Heather Fisher, Amanda McPeters Dowdy, uncle; Melvin Casner, granddaughter, Margret McPeters-Hodges. A large extended family also survives.

Per Deborah’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023, at 1:00pm in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Haynes officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 12 noon and continue till time of service at 1:00pm.
