Obituary of Lucille Madewell

Spencer, TN-Lucille Garrett Madewell, age 88, passed away Sunday May 7, 2023 at Generations of Spencer from an extended illness.  Lucille was a native of Van Buren County born on November 1, 1934 to the late Orbit and Elizabeth Savage Garrett. She was a seamstress for many years and attended the Hill Road Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Estes Kefauver Madewell and sister; Sara Jane Cox.

Lucille is survived by, sister; Ella Mae Forsythe of Spencer, nephews; Danny Madewell Sr., Danny Forsythe and Ray Cruise. A large extended family also survives.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 12, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Darrell Nance officiating.  Burial will follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery.  Visitation times are Thursday 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday 10:00am till time of service at 2:00pm.
