Obituary of Randy Lane Crain
Spencer, TN-Randy Lane Crain, age 61, passed away Monday July 4, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. A Van Buren County native, Randy was born November 10, 1960 to the late Hobert and Dorothy Grissom Crain. Randy was a graduate of Van Buren County High School Class of 1978, a retired Tennessee State Trooper, member of the Fraternal Order of Police and State Troopers Lodge # 44 of Cookeville. He was a member of Spencer First Baptist Church.
Randy is survived by his loving daughter; Machelle Hugg, grandchildren; Jordan Crain and Easton Hugg, brothers; Johnny (Sherry) Crain, Michael Bruce (Roxanne) Crain and Terry (Vickie) Crain. A large extended family also survives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 7, 2022 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Kevin Argo and Bro. R. C. Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery. Visitation times are Wednesday July 6th 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Thursday July 7th 10:00am till time of service at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers the family request donation to State Trooper Lodge #44 P.O. Box 826 Cookeville, TN 38503. You can mail your donations direct or drop it off at the funeral home. Make checks payable to State Troopers Lodge #44.
