Obituary of Patricia Ann Anderson

Patricia Ann Anderson was born Thursday, June 19, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Malcolm Arnold Flippo Sr and Bertie Josephine Pulley Flippo. She was united in marriage to her True Love George Lyle Anderson Sr on May 16, 1987.

 

Mrs. Anderson was of Baptist faith, retired from Bledsoe County Correctional Complex with the Department of Corrections in 2009 as a Correctional Officer, and had a passion for fashion, flowers, and animals.

 

Mrs. Anderson departed from this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2021 at the youthful age of 74. Patricia and George Anderson were happily married for 34 years.

 

She is survived by one son, Phillip R. Devers of Shelby County, TN: Grandchildren Daniel P. Devers of Shelby County, and Jessica Devers of Pulaski, AR: Special son George Lyle Anderson Jr and wife, Iwalani of Spencer, TN: Special Grandchild Bryton Rutledge of Spencer, TN: Brothers Malcolm Arnold (Sonny) Flippo of Waynesboro, TN, Robert Flippo of Perry County, TN: several nieces and nephews, and her fur baby Hannibal that kept her company while doing laundry.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021, in Layne’s Chapel with Brother Wayne Sullivan and Brother Jonathan Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at Frasers Chapel Cemetery in Sparta, TN. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at Layne Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Spencer, TN.
