Obituary of Jo Ann Rogers

Spencer, TN-Mrs. Jo Ann Brock Rogers, age 85, passed away Wednesday October 27, 2021 at her home from a lingering illness.  Jo Ann was born in Pikeville, TN on February 20, 1936 to the late George and Bertha Lewis Brock.  She was a factory worker in the local garment industry and attended a non-denominational church.

In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by husband; Rufus Rogers, brothers; Estell and J. L. Brock, sister; Sara Ruth Van Winkle and stepdaughter; Freda Rogers.

Jo Ann is survived by sons; Wayne (Angie) Rogers of Spencer, Jody Rogers of Spencer, daughter; Cynthia Rogers of Spencer, brother; Henry (Elsie) Brock of Pikeville, sister; Nancy Dodson of Culpepper, VA, grandson; Jeffery Dylan Rogers, great-granddaughter; Iris Jo Ann Rogers, stepson; Daryl Rogers, step-grandchildren; Julie, Adam, Jesse, Amanda, Joey, Pete, Ethan and Danny. A large extended family also survives.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 29, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Darrell Nance officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery. Visitation hours are Friday 11:00am till time of service at 1:00pm.
