Obituary of Richard Paul Hall

Spencer, TN-Mr. Richard Paul Hall, age 76, passed away Friday October 8, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Stamford, New York on September 28, 1945 to the late Donald and Genevieve Wright Hall. Richard was a retired Fireman with the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (Florida). He enjoyed all types of hunting, fishing on the Caney Fork River, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Ted Hall, Frank and George Merwin and granddaughter; Autumn Roberts.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of over fifty-five years, Sharon Carter Hall of Sparta (Cane Creek area), daughters; Shelley (Chris) Taylor of Sparta, Tina (David) Roberts of Spencer, Kathy Breeding of Spencer, brothers; Jerry (Sherry) Merwin of Rogersville, NY, Sonny Merwin of New York, sisters; Anna (Renee) Hall of East Mesa, AZ, Shirley McGregor and Marian Tucker of New York, grandchildren; Owen Taylor, Kaitlyn, Addacyn and Myla Roberts, and Phillip Taylor. A large extended family also survives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 16, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel. Visitation times are Saturday 12:00pm till time of service at 2:00pm. Cremation will follow after the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Emergency Medical Services of Van Buren County via Layne Funeral Home.
