Obituary of Nellie Cordelia Cole

Spencer, TN-Mrs. Nellie Cordelia Cole, age 89, passed away Tuesday April 27, 2021 at Signature Health and Wellness Center in Monteagle, TN from an extended illness.  Nellie was born, in Van Buren County, on May 18, 1931 to the late Jerry and Bessie Mealer Stinnett and resided in the Piney Community. She was a factory worker, homemaker and attended the Methodist Church. Nellie married her life-long love John Banker Cole on December 23, 1947.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother; J. T. Stinnett, sisters; Letha Russell, Anna Lou Hillis, Girlene Swindle, Della Mae Rogers, Gladys Rogers, Thelma Shockley, Betty Lee, and Marietta Lee.

Nellie is survived by her loving family, husband; John Banker Cole, sons; Ray (Sandra) Cole and Bobby (Carolyn) Cole all of Spencer, grandchildren; Chris (Natalie) Cole and Delina (Thomas) Colvard, great-grandchildren; Katlin (Steven) Cole, Ryder and MaKenna Colvard. Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held Thursday April 29, 2021 at 11:00am in the Shockley Cemetery in Van Buren County.  Bro. Larry Bouldin will be officiating.

There will be no services or visitation at the funeral home.
