Spencer, TN-Mr. Kenneth Eugene Denney, age 70, passed away Sunday April 11, 2021 unexpectantly at his home.  Kenneth was born on December 19, 1950 to the late Jim and Bernice Grissom Denney. Kenneth was a Deacon at Welchland Baptist Church, retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation, an active member of Piney Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was a 1969 graduate of Van Buren County High School. He married Judy Martin Denney on February 17, 1973.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister; Gail Denney, father-in-law, and mother-in-law; Elmer and Luedean Martin, in-laws; Virginia Martin, Coy Conley, Freddie Martin and Tim Graham.

Kenneth is survived by his loving family, wife; Judy Martin Denney, son; Preston (Tabitha) Denney, daughters; Chassidy (Steve) Lancaster and Susie (Will) Maxwell, grandchildren; BreeAnn (Cobey) Meadows, Blake (Tanner) Eldridge, Cora Sue Maxwell, James Preston Lancaster, Seirra Maxwell, Dakota Lancaster, brothers, and sisters-in-law; Josie Conley, Charlotte (Hugh) Hillis, Peggy (Bruce) Rigsby, Rella (Brad) McCoy and Nell Brown. Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and Piney Fire Department family also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April13, 2021 at 3:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Wayne Sullivan, Bro. Mike Adams and Bro. Denton Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Molloy Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday 1:00pm to 9:00pm and Tuesday 10:00am till time of service at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Welchland Baptist Church, Molloy Cemetery Upkeep Trust Fund and Piney Volunteer Fire Department.
