Obituary of Mary Ann Tarrant

Spencer, TN-Mrs. Mary Ann Gillentine Tarrant, age 85, passed away Friday February 19, 2021 at Morning Point of East Hamilton from a lingering illness. She was born in Wilder, Tennessee on March 3, 1935 to the late Hubert Haskell and Ira Mae Banks Gillentine.  Mary was a retired Tech Sargent In the United States Air Force, a twenty-year veteran, she served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband; Jerry Dial Tarrant, bothers; James and John Gillentine, sisters; Elise Malone, Agnes Rodgers, Nannie Jo Raines, Virginia Houser, and Geri Birchfield.

Mary is survived by nieces, nephews, and an extended family.

Mary chose cremation as her final disposition. A memorial/graveside service, at Molloy Cemetery in Spencer, TN., will be held Saturday March 13, 2021 at 1:00pm (central time).  American Legion Post 207 of Spencer, Tennessee will provide the Honor Guard and flag presentation at the cemetery.
