Obituary of Ada Pearl Wheeler

Ada Pearl Walling Mooneyham Wheeler, age 89, was born on June 26, 1931 in the Fall Creek Falls area of Van Buren County, Tennessee to the late John Alfred and Audie Bell Byrd Walling.

She was a member of the Mt. Della Church of Christ and loved attending church services.

Ada was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Mooneyham and Jay Wheeler, paternal grandparents Monroe Cason and Violet Ann Myers Walling, maternal grandparents John Thomas and Annie Cagle Byrd, brothers and sisters Archie Walling, Ela Judy Rohn, Taylor Walling, Sherman Ray Walling, Vera Hogan and grandson Marty Mooneyham.

She is survived by sons Monroe (Melba) Mooneyham, Manuel (Pam) Mooneyham and Andy (Stephanie) Wheeler, grandchildren Suzette Mooneyham (David) Barnes, Jill Mooneyham Bouldin, Beth Mooneyham (Stacy) Simmons, Colby (Krystina) Wheeler, Wesley (Holly) Wheeler, brothers Ernest Walling, Carroll Walling and sister Alberta Kelley. Great-grandchildren Marlie Mooneyham (Brady Richardson), Ashley Barnes (Joshua Dailey), Lakelyn Bouldin, Mason Simmons, Kade Barnes, Adam Simmons, Layla Bouldin, Grayton Wheeler, Huntington Wheeler and Asher Wheeler.

Numerous nieces and nephews survive as well as many friends and especially her church friends whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 31, 2020 at 2:00pm, in the Layne Chapel, with Bro. Tony Britt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Walling Cemetery.  Visitation times are Friday 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday noon till time of service at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to your favorite charity.

The family request COVID requirements be honored including face mask and social distancing.
