Obituary of Linda Fay Webb Moss

Linda Fay Webb was born on July 26, 1954 in Detroit, MI to Eleanor Crook Webb and Jesse Willard Webb. She grew up in several neighborhoods around Detroit with her beloved brothers and sisters: Ralph Webb, Patsy Webb Canine, Jimmy Webb, David Webb, Sharon Robinson Webb and Johnny Webb. As a child, she loved making music with her family, swimming and diving and reading any book she could get her hands on. In March 1972, she moved to Sparta, TN with her parents and younger siblings. She graduated from White County High School a couple of months later. Soon, she gave birth to two daughters, Alice Moss Estes and Susie Moss McUmber. She was a fun and loving mother, and a proud grandmother to Seth, Chaise and Stella McUmber and Noah and Mary Jane Estes. She was beautiful and smart. While raising her two girls, she graduated from Tennessee Tech University and got a job as a social worker. It gave her great joy to help those in need, especially children and families. She loved living in beautiful Spencer, TN and raising her girls there. She was a voracious reader. She enjoyed watching movies and listening to music, especially classic Rock. She also loved all kinds of animals. Many around town will surely remember her as the crazy animal lady, and she would be proud of that. She found someone to share that love of animals with; Mr. Jackie Rogers was her much beloved companion and best friend. Because of social-distancing requirements during this time of the Corona virus pandemic, viewing and a private service only will be held for the family Saturday, April 18 at 12:00 at Layne Funeral Home, 151 Argo St., Spencer, TN.
