Rubye Lee (Robinson) Lawson, 76, of Spencer, TN passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Hospital after an extended illness. She passed peacefully with her daughters by her side. She was born December 9, 1943 in the Doyle community to the late Hebron and Nina Mae Robinson. Rubye was a graduate of Van Buren County High School Class of 1961 and was a faithful member of Bethlehem Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Wayne Lawson and brother L.V. Robinson. Rubye is survived by her loving family, daughters: Tammy Lawson Moose of Marietta, GA and Vicki (Mark) Dedula of Dallas, GA; brothers: Harold and Terry Robinson of Spencer, TN; sister: Virginia Selby of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren: Emma Moose, Rachel and Brett Dedula; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:30 am CDT at Shockley Cemetery with Larry Bouldin officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm CDT at Layne Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the upkeep trust fund for the Shockley Cemetery via the Layne Funeral Home.
