Obituary of Lula Lorene Miller

Spencer, Tennessee – Ms. Lula Lorene Miller, 95, passed away Monday July 1, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Brockdale, Bledsoe County on November 5, 1923.

Lula grew up in the time of the Great Depression followed by World War II.  These difficult and sparse times did not affect her kindness and generosity.  She enjoyed animals, especially her chickens, her community and helping small children.  She liked selling her fresh eggs to the local community.  She was proud to be from Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Roxie Dotson; son, G.B. Watson; sister, Ora Keener; brothers, John Lee Yarbrough, Henry Clay Songer, J.M. Songer, Norman Dotson, Luther Dotson, and Issiah Dotson.

She is survived by her son, Rex Brymer of Cary, North Carolina; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, brother, Bill Dotson, Spencer, TN; niece and caregiver, Teresa Hitchcock, Dunlap, TN; a host of nieces and nephews.
