Lonnie was our double first cousin. My Mom was his Dad's sister and my Dad was His Mother's brother. Lonnie has always been like our brother. He was so kind and loved everyone. We would come to Tennessee and there was so many of us Lonnie just took it all in stride.
He would chuckle when my sister Barbara would climb (his Dad) Uncle Ben's apple tree and pick Mom some apples. Mind you Barbara was not all that young at that time. He didn't get mad if we got a little off color some times but kinda of lower his eyes.
He has always been a great part of our live and when Helen, Barb, Carl, Dick and I were in Tennessee a year or so ago we had such a great visit with him. Don't you know when he went to Heaven all of his family that went before him was there welcoming him home.
Lonnie we will miss you on earth but the Family Reunion we will have in Heaven will be like no other.
The love that Lonnie left in the heart of all his family can and never will be taken away. Oh how rich we are that he belonged to us.
Thank you Jesus for sharing you son Lonnie with us. The Lord will hold your hand though this sadness.
