Obituary of James Edward Ashcraft

Spencer, TN-Mr. James Edward Ashcraft, 79, of the Fall Creek Falls Community, passed away Tuesday February 19, 2019 at his residence.  A U.S Navy Veteran and a Kentucky native, Mr. Ashcraft and his wife Joan moved here from Florida twelve years ago, He worked as an elevator installer and as a screen printer in his later life.  Born November 17, 1939, in Ravenna, KY, to parents Richard and Pearlie Tipton Ashcraft who preceded him in death.

Mr. Ashcraft is survived by his wife; Joan Ashcraft, brother; Clarence “Doc” Ashcraft, sister; Shirley A. Carnes.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Community Funeral Home in Pikeville, KY (606-437-1991). He will be laid to rest in the Bent Ridge Cemetery in Beta, KY.

There will be no local services.
