Obituary of Gene Rector

Pikeville, TN-Mr. Harold Gene Rector, 62, passed away Friday January 25, 2019 at home from an extended illness.  He was a native of Bledsoe County, lived in the Watson Loop Community of Bledsoe and was a well-known Handyman.

Gene was born August 18, 1956 in Bledsoe County to the late Henry Rector and Beulah Mae and Austin Watson who preceded him in death.  Also preceding him in death was son; Chris Blaylock, brother; Monroe Tommy Smith, sisters; Linda Bradley and Bernice Robertson.

He is survived by brothers; David (Susan) Smith, Clifford (Barbara J) Smith and Hershel (Beverly) Watson.  Several nieces, nephews and a large extended family also survive.

Special appreciation to Amedisys Hospice Care for all that they did for Gene and to Tennessee All Pro Wrestling Organization for their assistance with Gene's funeral expense.  Gene (The Chair Man) was their biggest fan.

Funeral services will be Monday January 28, 2019 at 2:00PM in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dusty Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Watson Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00AM till time of service at 2:00PM
