Obituary of Raymond Horst Martin

Spencer, Tennessee – Mr. Raymond H. Martin, 56, died Tuesday November 13, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness.  He was the husband of Mary S. (Burkholder) Martin.  He was born in New Holland, Pennsylvania on  December 25, 1961.  He was the son of the late Jonas M. Martin and Lizzie M. Horst.

He was a farmer and Member of the New Haven Mennonite Church.

Surviving in addition to is wife are 12 children, Mahlon & Susanna Martin, Liberty, KY, Marlin  & Alice Martin, Wakarusa, IN, Dorcas & Marcus Martin, Liberty, KY, Alvin & Sara Ella Martin of Alto Vista, IA, Erma & Vernon Zimmerman, Dunnville, KY, Ray Martin, Versailles, MO, Henry & Luann Martin, Liberty, KY, Daniel Martin, Elma, IA, Elizabeth Martin, Spencer, TN, Russell Martin, Elma, IA, Susan Martin and Marianna Martin at home in Spencer; 16 grandchildren; 4 sisters; 4 brothers.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Saturday at the Newhaven Mennonite Church with Luke Zimmerman officiating with burial to follow in the New Haven Church Cemetery.  Visitation at the residence: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday at 182 Sheep Hill Road, Spencer, Tennessee.  Arrangements by: Layne Funeral Home, Spencer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
